walk like an egyptian // 03.05.12

while i was reading the wonderful tale of The Princess and the Goblin today in a waiting room, my dad looked at me and asked, "what's up with the Cleopatra eyes?" i looked up somewhat confused and asked him what he meant. i had never thought that my make up made me look like an egyptian. i had chosen to sweep on thick black liner for cat eyes early that morning since we had to be out of the house by 8:30. after walking away from that mirror, i never looked back. thankfully, my eyes weren't smudged and they relatively matched in angle. but my dad's comment made me wonder if other guys thought the liner was intimidating. so, me being me, i asked a few. i only interrogated four, but they all seemed to agree that when done right, cat eyes were sexy.

what exactly is considered 'right' though? i went through some images and tried to find girls who have rocked them. here  are my top choices:

i will say, that without The Beauty Department's help, i don't think i would have ever been able to figure out how to make my angles somewhat coordinate. hint: don't tilt your head. i always tend to do that. you could end up with some crazy caddywhompus lines.
