ATL Adventures: Six Feet Under
My friend over at Dapper Pub decided to come visit for the afternoon. While we waited for Jas to get off work we brainstormed where to go to grab a bite to eat. Six Feet Under was unanimous. The name doesn't suggest a fantastic view and delicious food, but both are incredible! 6 Feet Under is a classic seafood pub on the inside with casually dressed servers and fun decor, but when you step onto the roof top seating, everything melts away except the beautiful view of the Atlanta skyline. Every seat can see the view, but if you want a front row seat, there is bar seating along the edge. The menu wasn't overwhelming, which I was grateful! I hate flipping through pages on pages. Their menu consists of everything from sliders to crab cakes, shrimp baskets and grits. Drinks were first on the list - hello red sangria! Jas ordered a Red Hare craft beer and E ordered a gin & tonic. The sangria was rich and flavorful and not too sweet, perfection. Jas and E were happy as clams with their choices as well. Next appetizers. Jas and I chose gator bites while E settled on crab cakes. The gator was cooked perfectly, moist and paired with a Thia chilly sauce. YUM! E's cakes weren't overflowing with breading and flaked beautifully. That helped me decide on my entree.
Entrees - Jas chose a shrimp basket with onion rings, the classic choice at a fish house. E chose salmon BLT sliders with grits and I chose the crab cake sliders with zucchini fries. Everything could not have been better! I don't think we took a breath between bites.
I would highly recommend Six Feet Under to anyone wanting to enjoy a night out in the city. We left fat and happy.
