artwork in situ - no. 2 wild ponies
looking for some kind of art over a bed, but don’t want to pay for something massive? consider a set of two or three coordinating prints, like my line art wild ponies digital prints. once framed, they span more area & make an impact. with these three in mind, i decided to style a guest room as my latest artwork in situ installation.
when creating a guest space, you want to create something of a hotel-like experience, for a resort feeling. here i’ve chosen a minimal color palette with simple white bed linens and greens in the curtains & faux plant. if you feel like you need a pop of color, try adding throw pillows (like these golden ones) to give the room a little extra oomph.
by keeping the larger furniture neutral (headboard & side table), the room won’t feel too heavy or crowded. and by carefully curating a few extras, like this locally poured candle and a sunrise alarm clock, you’ll create a relaxing comforting vibe.
be sure to include bedside lights, to allow for some late night reading and a designated area for extra linens, like this rattan basket.
